Over the past seven months, we've tested more than three prototypes, each with its own issues but progressively better than the previous one.
👉 Where are we now?
We want to:
→ Improve the power module for long-lasting battery life (at least a few weeks without charging).
→Enhance the sound signal volume with adjustable settings (quiet, normal, loud).
→ Improve the injection mould for waterproofing to enable pool testing.
→ Manage energy consumption in sleep mode and indicate when the battery needs charging.
→ Enlarge the control buttons for better usability.
→ Use bolder colours for the casing.We aim to address these issues in the 3Q/2024.
The manufacturing process demands patience, but we have plenty of that as swimmers.👉 What's next?After implementing the above improvements, we plan to produce 50-100 units to send to swimming coaches and those who pre-ordered the prototype. We will collect feedback and then implement necessary improvements. The last step in this phase will be to certify the device and prepare for production of 1000-2000 units.
We hope that after implementing all the hardware fixes, we will focus on improving the software to enable:
→ Bluetooth connection to a phone.→ Uploading custom training programs.
→ Collecting sensor data to recreate head movement on a phone/computer screen.
→ Setting a watch, starting a stopwatch.→ Selecting other built-in programs.The device you see in the photo has come a long way and is ready for further improvements and internal testing. It currently offers:
→ USB cable charging.
→ Setting the interval between signals.
→ Changing the signal type: sound, light, touch.
→ Uploading new software versions via Bluetooth without disassembling the device.
Testing continues, and we look forward to enabling our test group of swimmers to test it.
